Education and Training

I earned my Masters in Social Work at New York University in 2004 and my Clinical License in 2009. After graduating from my MSW program, I worked at NYU Langone Hospital and Bellevue Hospital Center while continuing my training at the Ackerman Institute for the Family, where I completed a four year training program in couples and family therapy.

Clinical Experience

I have previously worked in community psychiatric programs, corporate medical offices, outpatient therapy clinics, medical and psychiatric hospital programs, and an employee assistance program.

I was the Program Director of the Home Based Crisis Intervention Program at Bellevue Hospital from 2009-2011. In this role I supervised clinical services and collaborated with hospital inpatient and emergency departments, schools, and community agencies to optimize mental health care for families and children.

I supervised family therapy services at the NYU Child Study Center from 2011-2018, supervising medical residents while they provided real-time family therapy and teaching them the foundations of couples and fasmily therapy.

From 2013-2015, I served as the psychological consultant at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, providing support, evaluations, and clinical services for the company medical office.

I established my full time private practice in 2015, bringing my years of experience and love for therapy to my work with individuals and couples. I worked in person in New York's Union Square neighborhood until 2020, when I transitioned to providing telehealth services.

How I Work

I use my intuition, creativity, and empathy to engage with clients. My approach is interactive, relational, and collaborative. While I draw from extensive training in psychodynamic, cognitive, and systems oriented models, I don't follow a rigid formula. I pay close attention to what is unfolding between us when we meet, and use that moment to moment information to guide the work.

Clients often tell me they feel both supported and gently challenged in ways that help create meaningful change.
